Chris Nolan has taken a single idea & transformed it into a story so powerful that it will paralyze your body to your seat & ignite the turbo charger in your brain. Suffice it to say, that if either V or Morpheus were to ever meet Dominic Cobb, he would turn their world of ideas and reality topsy-turvy & inside-out, to the point that it would make Alice look good.
The film is a quantum leap forward for the science fiction genre, and boasts of a labyrinthine story, intricate enough to leave Einstein befuddled, and yet accessible enough for the laymen to comprehend & stand in awe of. Instead of trying to focus too much on the science & skeptics, the director has taken a leap of faith with the audience and focused mainly on developing the story and characters. To me that reflects his humility as a story teller and his respect for the audience. There are no stereotypical computer geeks, drop dead gorgeous babes or any kind of larger than life figures. There are no heroes or villains. Only a story. But oh, what a story it is!
