Force = Muscles x Aggression (F=ma)

"Ek high dose pain killer ka injection de do. Neend ki davaayi mat dena. Nahi tho hosh mein aatein hi, pehle tumhe maar doonga!"

A turbocharged action film replete with brutal fights as well as heart wrenching emotions, this movie will wreck havoc in your limbic system and pump unhealthy levels of adrenaline into your veins. WARNING: Do not operate heavy machinery or get into altercations after watching this.

The film is extremely violent and gory, and some of the fight sequences and chases will literally have you ducking in your seat and gasping for breath. But the most striking aspect is the authenticity of the situations and the dialogues. Raj Babbar's line "How dare he!" delivers such a powerful impact even though it's only three words. You immediately form an impression about his character and realize that YES, that is exactly what someone would REALLY say in a situation like that. The depiction of characters and emotions is so real that you're bound to feel them. There's also not a single wasted scene in this movie. Every single frame that the audience sees and every single dialogue that is delivered is vital to the story and keeps you riveted to the seat.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say FU*% Dabbang and Ready and all that formulaic Ayesha Takia and Asin and Sonakshi Sinha bullsh*%. F*$% you all to infinity. It's pathetic and disgusting how the Indian cinema goer was being subjected to trashy films like these. Well, Force has completely redefined the action film genre in Hindi cinema for me. It really has set the bar very high for any director who tries to make an action movie in the future.

The biggest compliment I can give Force is to say this. We all revere Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis and flock like junkies to a cookie party to watch their films. Yet, we never question their acting abilities while watching them pull of unbelievable stunts and drop villains like bowling pins. We forget that their superstar status was all thanks to genius scriptwriters who came up with movies like Commando and Rambo and Die Hard and one liners like "I'll be back" and "Astalavista Baby" and "You're luggage" and "Yippee Ki Yay MotherF*&%$! Well that's because Die Hard, Rambo and Commando were written by scriptwriters who always knew what the primary focus of the film was - ACTION and every single frame was devoted to delivering action or building the macho image of the hero. I think Force has done exactly this for John Abraham and I wouldn't at all hesitate to compare it to any of the best action films I've seen come out of Hollywood.

If action films can be likened to cocktails, then Force is some kind of a mix between a Rusty Nail, a Long Island Iced Tea and a Flaming Sambuca. I salute the director, actors and everyone else involved in the making of the film and really hope that Hindi action movies in the future try to come up with something as entertaining and real as this!

FORCE!
