We swim for fun

We swim for gain

We swim to run,

From all the pain

We swim by day

We swim by night

Sometimes it’s play

Sometimes a fight

We swim to burn

We swim to freeze

We swim to set,

Our minds at ease

We swim for love

We swim to pray

We swim because,

There’s no other way

But me, I swim

Towards the distant shore

I swim as much as I can endure

But the coveted land, it still eludes me
